Once completed, the Crisis Stabilization Diagnostic Center (CSDC) will be a 16-bed crisis stabilization unit for individuals dually diagnosed with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. Through a partnership with Mercer University School of Medicine, there will be additional space for outpatient clinic services such as primary medicine, dental, vision, podiatry, and other specialty services. This state-of-the-art facility will be a game changer for the care and treatment of the IDD population in the State of Georgia and other surrounding states.
The BCBA will report to the BCBA Supervisor and provide behavioral oversight for services offered within the CSDC and adhere to ongoing review and measurement of programs, services, and applications. All behavior interventions will comply with regulations, policies, procedures, and standards set by the Georgia Department of Behavior Health & Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD). The BCBA will incorporate trauma-informed care in all behavioral interventions/plans for individuals served.
The Crisis Stabilization Diagnostic Center (CSDC) will provide comprehensive assessments, behavioral design, and intervention programs for individuals served in the center. The BCBA serves as an interdisciplinary team (IDT) member and supports other discipline leaders. The BCBA will discuss cases, present and analyze data, and elaborate on treatment approaches and progress.
The BCBA will oversee ABA interventions for their case of no more than 8-10 individuals on the unit. The BCBA will provide training and model how to implement the Behavior Support Plan for staff. The BCBA will attend weekly IDT meetings and ensure parents/guardians are notified of the client's progress, which may include weekly treatment calls.
The BCBA will adhere to ongoing review and measurement of programs and service applications to comply with regulations, policies, procedures, and standards set by the Agency and the DBHDD. The BCBA will assess, develop, and implement behavior interventions for individuals with Intellectual Disability Disorder (IDD) and behavioral challenges.
