Job Description:

Join our Nature team as a BNG Specialist (Technical Director or Associate Director) in Basingstoke, UK.

At AECOM, we lead in nature-based solutions across various sectors including power, renewables, infrastructure, environment, and transport. Our projects range from large-scale solar farms to infrastructure upgrades and urban masterplanning.

As a BNG Specialist, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership on Biodiversity Net Gain policies across UK & I
  • Lead biodiversity assessments and support project planning and delivery
  • Engage with stakeholders including authorities and the public
  • Support technical development and innovation in biodiversity services
  • Mentor team members and contribute to bids and tenders

Qualifications include:

  • Degree in ecology or related field
  • Membership in a professional body and progress towards Chartered status
  • Knowledge of biodiversity legislation and assessment experience
