Job summary

Sytner Maidenhead is offering an Apprentice Vehicle Technician position. You will learn to maintain and repair motor vehicles to BMW standards within a busy BMW workshop, with hands-on training at the BMW Academy during a 3-year program.

The apprenticeship combines classroom and workshop learning, supported by a mentor, and may involve weekend shifts to deliver top-tier service to customers.

Qualifications

• GCSE English, Maths and one other subject at A-C/9-4 or equivalent.
• No experience required for this role, a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair motor vehicles to BMW standards.
• Undertake 3-year apprenticeship with classroom and workshop learning, including BMW Academy.
• Work patterns may include weekends to support service levels.

About the role

Sytner Maidenhead has an exciting opportunity available for an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join their talented team.

As a Sytner Apprentice Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to the high standards of the BMW brand. You will be working in a busy BMW workshop during your apprenticeship and have the opportunity to work on the latest cars, engines and diagnostic equipment, ultimately leading to the ability to undertake maintenance, service and repair activities on vehicles once fully qualified.

Your apprenticeship training will take place over a 3 year period and will compromise of classroom and workshop based learning, this includes off-the-job training at the BMW Academy. You will also receive the support from a mentor who will oversee the work-based learning programme.

Sytner Apprentice Technicians work a variety of flexible patterns which can typically include weekends to ensure we provide our customers with the highest possible levels of service.

About You

If you have a keen interest and enthusiasm for automotive vehicles and the automotive industry as a whole then we would like to hear from you.

No experience is needed for this role; however we are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and work ethic with a willingness to learn. Ideally you will have the ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as having the capability to follow instructions and work individually.

Applicants are required to have or predicted to obtain GCSE Grade A -C/ 9-4 or Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in the following subjects:

English
Maths
One other subject
