Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded architecture, system-level design, or BMS integration.
  • Proven track record architecting complex control systems across hardware & software domains.
  • Familiarity with CAN, LIN, SPI communication systems and real-time embedded platforms.
  • Proficient in modelling & documentation tools (e.g., SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, Enterprise Architect).

Responsibilities

  • Define & oversee the end-to-end architecture for battery management systems.
  • Integrate control, hardware, and diagnostic components.
  • Shape interfaces between SDU Controls, Cell Supervisory Controllers, and WGM hardware.

Our industry leading Partner – partnered with one of the largest Consultancies in the world, is looking for an experienced BMS System Architect in a Hybrid capacity. This client is a strong, recognisable global automotive brand with attractive project opportunities!

Job title: BMS System Architect – Hybrid role

As BMS System Architect, you will define & oversee the end-to-end architecture for cutting-edge battery management systems, integrating control, hardware, and diagnostic components. Your technical leadership will shape interfaces between SDU Controls, Cell Supervisory Controllers (CSC), and WGM hardware to ensure optimal system performance, safety compliance, and integration scalability.

Location: Greater Manchester or Birmingham

CANDIDATES OUTSIDE OF THE EU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED.

Typical Areas of Responsibility include:

  • Integration Strategy & Technical Oversight
  • Stakeholder & Compliance Coordination

We are seeking the following:
