Job summary

Catering in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Building Management System (BMS) Service Team Leader to lead hands-on technical work and drive service activities across UK sites. You will coordinate engineering workloads, support service delivery, and contribute to the growth of the Smart Infrastructure team, with regular travel to customer sites.

The role requires strong fault diagnostics, HVAC and building automation knowledge, and proven leadership in a technical setting.

Qualifications

Proven experience working with BMS systems.

Formal technical training in Building Services, Controls Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience supervising or coordinating teams.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

Plan and oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities for BMS systems.
Coordinate engineer workloads and schedules to ensure effective service delivery across customer sites.
Act as the point of contact for raised technical issues and complex fault diagnostics.
Ensure service delivery meets contractual KPIs and customer expectations.
Conduct site audits, system health checks, and performance evaluations.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery.
Assist in the development of energy-saving strategies and system optimizations.
Participate in out of hours customer support.
Maintain accurate service records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
