Job summary

Gold Group is seeking a Mobile BMS Engineer to work on-site in Birmingham across a diverse portfolio including schools, hospitals and offices. The role requires experience with BMS platforms and a valid full UK driving license, with additional BPSS vetting as part of a mobile service.

The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, handle reactive calls, and contribute to energy efficiency improvements across sites, with a competitive salary and company van or fuel card provided.

Qualifications

• City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ in Electrical or BEMS
• Knowledge of one or more BMS platforms (Trend/Tridium/Distech/Siemens/Niagara)
• HVAC and mechanical systems experience in a commercial environment

Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: routine checks on BMS systems to ensure smooth operation.
• Reactive Calls: respond to breakdowns and participate in the on-call rota with added benefits.
• Continuous Improvement: propose system improvements and prepare cost estimates and quotes.

Brief

Mobile BMS Engineer needed for a large Facilities Management organisation based in Birmingham who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mobile BMS Engineer that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge and Experience of at least one of the following (additional training can be provided depending on the area requirements at a later date):

• Trend
• Tridium
• Distech
• Siemens
• Niagara

The successful candidate must have a City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ in Electrical or BEMS due to the role being mobile you must also hold a full driving license.

What the role entails:

As a Mobile BMS Service Engineer, you will manage a variety of essential planned and reactive tasks across our diverse portfolio, Schools, Hospitals, Offices, Business Parks and Government Buildings. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Preventative Maintenance: Carrying out scheduled maintenance checks on BMS systems and components to ensure smooth operation across various sites.
• Reactive Calls: Responding to breakdowns when things go wrong. This role involves participating in a reactive call-out rota, which includes additional financial benefits for on-call availability and attendance.
• Continuous Improvement: Working with other engineer colleagues to help make recommendations to our clients to enhance system performance and energy efficiency. This will require teams to complete thorough reports and build up clear cost estimates & quotes for system enhancements.

What experience you need to be the successful Mobile BMS Engineer:

• City & Guild / BTEC / NVQ in Electrical or BEMS
