Job summary

Crucial People Ltd is seeking a BMS Service & Commissioning Engineer for Scotland’s Central Belt. You’ll manage planned maintenance, reactive fault-finding and small-works commissioning across Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens and ALC environments.

The role covers on-site duties, system analysis, reporting, and handover of smaller projects. A strong BMS background with HVAC/electrical competence is essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine hands-on BMS experience with fault finding and service.
• Experience with at least one BMS platform: Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens or ALC.
• Niagara-based systems knowledge is required.
• Good HVAC knowledge and electrical competence.

Responsibilities

• Mix of planned maintenance, reactive fault-finding and small-works commissioning.
• On service visits, assess system function, diagnose problems and plan next steps.
• Maintain software and strategy backups; update site information and produce clear reports.
• Carry out condition surveys and recommend further work where needed.
• Prepare procurement and commissioning schedules; document operation descriptions.
• Commission and handover smaller projects to ensure design conformance.
