Job description

Mission:

The position requires a proactive, customer-driven approach, demonstrating full ownership and responsibility for producing comprehensive project solutions, and helping to implement and complete projects with high customer satisfaction levels in collaboration with the Schneider Project Team. The role involves managing, engineering, planning, and resourcing multiple design projects within the End User Projects Team. It requires close collaboration with the Operations Manager, Project Managers, and the Engineering Manager of the region, offering opportunities for career progression within the Projects Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Health & Safety: Ensure safety is the top priority in operations and design. Use QMS documentation and tools to maintain standards, identify skills gaps, and uphold Schneider safety levels.
  2. Project Delivery: Design and deliver multiple projects with a focus on financial awareness, including forecasting, procurement, invoicing, variation handling, and final account agreements. Collaborate closely with the Project Team, Operations, and Commercial teams.
  3. Milestones & Performance: Define project scope, goals, and performance metrics to ensure objectives are met or exceeded.
  4. Engineering Responsibilities: Responsible for engineering design of BMS and integrated projects, including I/O schedules, control panels, plant schematics, and H&S and O&M documentation, adhering to ISO standards. Coordinate with commissioning engineers for site work.
  5. Team Support: Support, coach, and mentor team members to ensure successful project delivery. Address knowledge or skill gaps promptly.
  6. Customer Engagement: Proactively gather information, attend site meetings, and maintain a customer-first approach while managing safety, time, and financial constraints.
  7. Motivation & Risk Management: Be highly motivated, risk-aware, and capable of problem-solving and analytical thinking.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong understanding of building automation, control systems, HVAC, energy management, and related technologies.
  • Proficiency in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management, with adaptability to changing demands.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interactions.
  • Knowledge of key products and technologies, with a preference for Schneider products and EcoStruxure, though not mandatory.

Education:

  • HND/HNC in Building Services, Engineering, or Construction with an M&E background.
  • Bachelor's Degree in M&E, Building Services, Electronics, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., Prince2, PMP).
  • Electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential.
