Job description

Position: BMS Project Engineer
Location: Ipswich area
Reports To: Regional Manager

Learnd is seeking a skilled and motivated BMS Project Engineer to join our growing team in the Ipswich area. The ideal project engineer will have a background in Trend, Tridium, or Schneider systems. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality BMS projects, from design to commissioning, while ensuring client satisfaction and maintaining high system integration standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver BMS projects from initial design through to commissioning and handover for learnd major projects team.
  • Develop, configure, and commission BMS systems, focusing on Trend, Tridium, or Schneider platforms.
  • Work closely with clients to understand project requirements and ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Produce and maintain project documentation, including designs, risk assessments, method statements, and O&M manuals.
  • Report project progress, challenges, and solutions regularly to the Regional Manager.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with Trend, Tridium, or Schneider BMS systems.
  • Strong understanding of BMS control principles, HVAC systems, and integration with other building services.
  • Excellent project management and organisation skills.
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Full UK driving license.
