BMS Project/Design Engineer – London/Southeast – £65,000Are you a skilled BMS Engineer with strong design and project delivery experience? A fantastic opportunity is now open to join a leading BMS specialist supporting innovative projects across London and the Southeast. If you’re confident with systems like Trend, Tridium or Cylon, and enjoy working on both the design and delivery sides of projects, this could be the next step in your career.The BMS Project/Design Engineer positionYou’ll be responsible for producing complete BMS designs, including control schematics, points lists, and I/O schedules, while supporting the successful delivery of projects from concept through to commissioning.
You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, software engineers, and clients to ensure the solution is technically sound, cost-effective, and delivered on time.About the companyOur client is a respected name in the BMS industry, known for delivering high-quality smart building solutions across commercial, healthcare, education and industrial sectors. With an emphasis on innovation, training, and team collaboration, they offer a great working environment and excellent long-term progression.Key responsibilities * Create detailed BMS system designs, control strategies, schematics and schedules * Work closely with PMs and clients to finalise project scopes and system architecture * Attend design meetings and support pre-commissioning/commissioning planning * Provide technical support to the installation and commissioning teams * Ensure all work complies with relevant specifications and standards * Assist in value engineering and cost optimisation across projectsSkills and experience requiredEssential: * Experience in BMS design (Trend, Tridium or Cylon) * Understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies * Familiarity with creating I/O lists, control panel drawings, and schematics * Good communication skills and ability to work within project teamsDesirable: * Experience with BMS integration and smart building platforms * Knowledge of commissioning processes and BMS software toolsSalary and benefits * Competitive salary dependent on experience * Car allowance or company vehicle (where applicable) * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Company pension * Training and development opportunitiesWorking hours * Location: Projects across London & Southeast * Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 * Start Date: ASAP / subject to notice periodPersonal profileYou’re a technically strong, detail-oriented engineer who takes pride in delivering well-designed and well-executed solutions.
