Job summary

VirtueTech Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced BMS Engineer based in London, onsite five days a week, to maintain and troubleshoot Building Management Systems across client sites. You will work with site engineers and facilities teams, focusing on HVAC integration, fault-finding and continuous improvement of building controls.

Experience with BMS and building services environments is required; Johnson Controls Metasys experience is advantageous, with training provided where needed.

Job description

This BMS Engineer position is based in St Paul’s, London, and offers a salary of up to £72,000 plus benefits. The role is with a leading facilities and engineering services provider, supporting the maintenance and operation of Building Management Systems across high-profile client sites. It is a fully onsite position, working five days per week, and would suit an experienced BMS Engineer with a background in building services, facilities management or critical environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting BMS systems, investigating faults and alarms, supporting HVAC operations and helping improve the efficiency and reliability of building controls. Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys would be beneficial, although training can be provided. The role involves working closely with site engineers, facilities teams and customers, so strong communication and fault-finding skills are important. What You'll Be Doing

• Managing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of on-site Building Management Systems.
• Carrying out planned maintenance activities and responding to BMS-related faults and breakdowns.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with Building Management Systems in a service, maintenance or engineering capacity.
• Knowledge of BMS controls and building services environments.
• Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
• Understanding of HVAC systems and their interaction with BMS platforms.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure and networking principles.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of current health and safety regulations and safe working practices.
• Previous experience within a facilities management or critical environment would be beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
