Job summary

Caledonian Recruitment Group Ltd is recruiting an experienced Freelance BMS Engineer to join an established M&E contractor on major commercial projects in Cardiff.

The role covers installation, commissioning and testing of BMS control systems, panel installations, fault finding and programming, with integration of HVAC equipment and handover support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BMS Engineer / BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Strong commercial building-services experience.
• Experience working on large M&E projects.
• Good understanding of HVAC controls and mechanical plant.
• Ability to read BMS schematics, control drawings and M&E drawings.
• Experience with commissioning and fault finding.
• Good understanding of HVAC control strategies.

Responsibilities

• Supporting final commissioning and client demonstrations.

• Liaising with the Site Manager, Project Manager and commissioning team.

• Supporting final commissioning and client demonstrations.

Experience Required

• Proven experience as a BMS Engineer / BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Strong commercial building-services experience.
• Experience working on large M&E projects.
• Good understanding of HVAC controls and mechanical plant.
• Ability to read BMS schematics, control drawings and M&E drawings.
• Experience with commissioning and fault finding.
• Good understanding of HVAC control strategies.
• Comfortable working independently on site.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
