Job summary

Blackfield Associates is seeking an experienced Controls Electrical | BMS/EMS SME to support a major pharmaceutical capital project in the Manchester area. You will provide technical leadership and governance for BMS and EMS systems from FEED through commissioning and start-up, ensuring GMP, engineering and safety requirements are met.

The role requires three on-site days per week in Manchester with the remainder remote, and involves reviewing URS, specifications and vendor documentation, plus

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading BMS/EMS on regulated pharma projects.
• Capability to translate GMP/engineering requirements into specs.
• Experience with FEED, design, procurement, commissioning and start-up.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for BMS and EMS across the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings, specifications, and control philosophies.
• Coordinate with design contractors and suppliers on BMS/EMS designs.
• Support commissioning and qualification activities (IQ/OQ, FAT/SAT).
• Participate in risk assessments and lessons learned.
