Role Summary: BMS Design Engineer
Due to continued success and project expansion, our client is seeking a skilled BMS Design Engineer to support the delivery of medium to large-scale projects across the UK. The role involves end-to-end BMS system design-from initial scope through to final handover documentation. This includes creating control strategies, panel designs, hardware and software architecture, and graphical interface packages.
This is a technically autonomous role requiring a sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within modern building environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring designs are efficient, functional, and aligned to client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop detailed BMS designs from client specifications
· Create control panel designs, hardware configurations, and software/graphics packages
· Coordinate across internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project alignment
· Conduct site surveys and support project engineering across different stages
· Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety protocols
· Author BMS system strategy documents and handover packs
Candidate Requirements:
· Minimum HNC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
· Proven experience in BMS/control system design (including Siemens, Trend, or Honeywell systems)
· Strong knowledge of both mechanical and electrical building systems
· Competency in conducting site surveys and working with live equipment
· Comfortable with hybrid working and occasional site visits
· Strong team player with initiative and excellent problem-solving skills
· Right to work in the UK and willing to undergo security screening
