Overview

BMS Controls Engineer - London and Surrounds

Mitie, the UK's leading facilities management company, is looking for a qualified BMS Controls Engineer with strong experience in market-leading BMS platforms, ideally Trend Controls and/or Tridium/Niagara. The role involves delivering high-quality planned maintenance, identifying and implementing system improvements, conducting surveys, and supporting reactive callouts. You'll work within a national team of over 50 engineers under the Regional Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality BMS Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across Mitie's FM client portfolio.
• Identify and implement improvements and remedial works to enhance BMS performance.
• Conduct surveys, prepare proposals, and quote for small or remedial jobs.
• Support reactive callouts and assist the wider BMS Operations team.
• Gain experience in Tridium, Trend, and Distech through small project commissioning.

Team

Team: Work as part of a national BMS team of 50+ engineers and managers, reporting to the Regional Operations Manager.

Experience & Skills

• Expertise at Trend Expert level, able to modify software and schematics for Trend 963 & IQVision.
• Proficient in Honeywell SET or similar engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of at least two BMS platforms and integration via Modbus, MBus, Bacnet protocols.
• Good understanding of IT networks and IP configuration preferred.
