Job summary

Crucial People is seeking an experienced Electrical engineer to own EPLAN Electric P8 design from specification through to manufacturing outputs at our UK site. You will produce schematics, GA layouts, wiring/terminal schedules, I/O and cable lists, BOMs and manufacturing outputs, and collaborate with production through FAT to as-builts.

You will shape standards—libraries, macros and digital work instructions—for semi-automated manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 from specification to manufacturing outputs.
• Ability to produce schematics, GA layouts, wiring/terminal schedules, I/O and cable lists, BOMs.
• Collaborate with production through FAT to as-built documentation.

Job description

Own EPLAN Electric P8 design from spec to build. Produce schematics, GA layouts, wiring/terminal schedules, I/O and cable lists, BOMs, and manufacturing outputs (wire lists, markers, drilling files).

Work closely with production through FAT to as-builts.

Shape standards—libraries, macros and digital work instructions—as the business moves to semi-automated manufacturing, improving build time, quality and traceability.

Engineer interfaces for HVAC plant (boilers, chillers, AHUs, heat pumps) and networks such as BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus and M-Bus.

Success means clean packs, fewer queries, faster builds and visible impact.

Package: £45k–£50k, pension, 20 days’ holiday + bank holidays, discretionary bonuses.
