BMS Commissioning Engineer - Southwest & Wales

We are looking for talented, technical, and innovative individuals with a passion for engineering to join our Team in the Southwest and Wales Region. A full health and safety program and system and product training program is available for all successful applicants. Your Mission:

1. To work and collaborate within a team framework, adding your skills, innovations, and ideas to our ever-growing engineering team of project managers, project engineers, and commissioning engineers.
2. To commission solutions as part of customer orders, incorporating the software, graphics, installation, and commissioning of building management control systems and third-party integration.
3. To maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers, becoming their trusted expert in all aspects of works.
4. To maintain and implement Schneider Electric Core Values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To ensure a safe and healthy working environment for themselves and others, at office or site locations.
2. Operating to site requirements, Project Method statements and risk assessments, Schneider Electric Health & Safety Systems.
3. Set up servers and workstations on site and load software and licenses.
4. To pre-commission control panels and field devices onto new and existing systems.
5. To commission controllers, networks, and field devices into a complete control system.
6. To integrate third-party systems onto existing BMS systems.
7. Writing and commissioning controller software through Function Block Editor.
8. Configuring and drawing end-user graphics to represent the building controls.
9. To configure and commission graphics and document commissioning progress, site reports, and assist with Operations and Maintenance manuals.
10. To hand over and demonstrate the completed system to customer/consultant.
11. To manage installations and subcontractors with the support of Project Managers.
12. To support Schneider Electric and client support teams on new and existing projects.

Skills and Attributes:

1. Experience in a similar technical role would be advantageous, but on-the-job training will be provided.
2. Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
3. Experience in onsite commissioning and site experience is preferred.
4. Experience in BMS software and graphics is preferred, but training is provided on products.
5. Experience in our EcoStruxture product or legacy products Sigma, Vista, or Continuum is advantageous.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

1. Due to the nature of the role, a background in electrical engineering or related subject is preferable.
2. Some accreditations in HVAC controls, BCIA, or CIBSE is advantageous.
3. Have a strong interest and passion in STEM (science, engineering, technology, or mathematics).
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
5. Fluent English (Written and Verbal).
6. Full driving license.
