BMS Commissioning Engineer - Southwest & Wales
We are looking for talented, technical, and innovative individuals with a passion for engineering to join our Team in the Southwest and Wales Region. Your Mission:
- To work and collaborate within a team framework, adding your skills, innovations, and ideas to our ever-growing engineering team of project managers, project engineers, and commissioning engineers.
- To commission solutions as part of customer orders, incorporating the software, graphics, installation, and commissioning of building management control systems and third-party integration.
- To maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers, becoming their trusted expert in all aspects of works.
- To maintain and implement Schneider Electric Core Values.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure a safe and healthy working environment for themselves and others, at office or site locations.
- Operating to site requirements, Project Method statements and risk assessments, Schneider Electric Health & Safety Systems.
- Set up servers and workstations on site and load software and licenses.
- To pre-commission control panels and field devices onto new and existing systems.
- To commission controllers, networks, and field devices into a complete control system.
- To integrate third-party systems onto existing BMS systems.
- Writing and commissioning controller software through Function Block Editor.
- Configuring and drawing end-user graphics to represent the building controls.
- To configure and commission graphics and document commissioning progress, site reports, and assist with Operations and Maintenance manuals.
- To hand over and demonstrate the completed system to customer/consultant.
- To manage installations and subcontractors with the support of Project Managers.
- To support Schneider Electric and client support teams on new and existing projects.
Skills and Attributes:
- Experience in a similar technical role would be advantageous, but on-the-job training will be provided.
- Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience in onsite commissioning and site experience is preferred.
- Experience in BMS software and graphics is preferred, but training is provided on products.
- Experience in our EcoStruxture product or legacy products Sigma, Vista, or Continuum is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- Due to the nature of the role, a background in electrical engineering or related subject is preferable.
- Some accreditations in HVAC controls, BCIA, or CIBSE is advantageous.
- Have a strong interest and passion in STEM (science, engineering, technology, or mathematics).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluent English (Written and Verbal).
- Full driving license.
