Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in the blown film extrusion field.
• Knowledge of the packaging industry and materials.
• Forklift experience (license not required).

Responsibilities

• Set and operate extrusion machines to produce the film as specified in the job sheet.
• Gather and stage raw materials, polymers, additives, cores, pallets, labels and wrapping per spec.
• Keep blenders and extruders supplied with correct materials and load into bulk bins.
• Monitor extrusion machine performance to maximize output while ensuring safety and quality.
• Execute efficient changeovers to minimize downtime and scrap.
• Report machine maintenance issues to supervisor and escalate as needed.
• Move palletised goods to warehouse using a forklift and store materials after use.
• Record scrap volumes for each job using the provided job sheet.
• Adhere to near-miss protocol and assist with the cleaning/maintenance schedule.
