Job Title: Blow Moulding Technician

Location: Bellshill, Glasgow

Contract Type: Full Time / Permanent

We are recruiting Blow Moulding Technicians to join our department at Bellshill Dairy. The role involves operating production equipment efficiently to meet performance standards while maintaining Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene, and Housekeeping standards. Ideal candidates will have experience with machine maintenance, fault finding, and an interest in engineering. This role can serve as a stepping stone to a career in Engineering.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Operating Blow Moulding equipment effectively
  • Adhering to all H&S Policies and Procedures, following Safe Systems of Work
  • Ensuring compliance with Site Accreditation Standards
  • Fault finding using I/O listings on screens
  • Following correct adjustment procedures
  • Sustaining set-ups for optimum performance
  • Performing pre and post-maintenance operational checks
  • Monitoring and recording machine conditions
  • Supporting Engineering with Maintenance or Breakdowns
  • Assisting colleagues with bottlenecks and problem solving
  • Adapting to changing priorities based on customer needs
Candidate requirements:
  • Meet output requirements as determined by the shift manager
  • Operate equipment safely and achieve quality standards
  • Drive machine performance to reduce waste
  • Maintain a customer-focused approach (internal and external)
  • Assist colleagues with problem solving
  • Adapt to changing priorities
Preferred experience:
  • Experience in a busy warehouse environment
  • Manufacturing operations experience
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Experience working shifts
Desirable:
  • Food contact packaging experience
