The position operates afternoons/evenings with shifts typically 7.5 hours, offering both full-time and part-time options. Permanent contract and Band 2 salary apply, with a range of staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic data handling.
• Fluent and accurate keyboard skills.
• Previous laboratory or administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive patient samples and request forms per procedures.
• Enter patient requests into laboratory information systems.
• Monitor and maintain centrifuges, refrigerators and freezers.
• Perform basic lab techniques and assist with analyzer maintenance.
• Manage consumables and processing deliveries.
• Store, retrieve and dispose of samples safely.
• Answer inquiries professionally via phone and in person.
• File, scan and maintain laboratory records.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Support the team to deliver an efficient service.
• Follow health, safety and waste disposal procedures.
• Maintain quality standards and participate in training.
