The Job
  • Operate plant and machinery safely and efficiently, meeting volume, efficiency, and feed quality targets.
  • Manufacture feed promptly to satisfy customer needs.
  • Represent the company professionally, embodying its values.
  • Follow operating instructions and procedures to ensure optimal efficiency and product quality.
  • Adhere to production plans, notifying the supervisor of any operational issues.
  • Sample production runs and perform tests as instructed.
  • Maintain accurate production records.
  • Be aware of quality standards and targets.
  • Monitor plant performance continuously and report significant changes.
  • Be flexible with shifts to cover absences, demand, or other site needs.
  • Conduct stock counts to ensure system accuracy.
  • Comply with all legal and company requirements, including UFAS accreditation.
  • Participate in stocktaking and report unsafe conditions or defects immediately.
  • Record checks related to HACCP and operating procedures.
  • Perform maintenance within your skills, following safety policies.
  • Keep work areas clean and dispose of waste responsibly.
  • Follow security protocols and report risks.
  • Communicate effectively across departments.
  • Report environmental or safety hazards promptly.
  • Ensure courteous treatment of visitors and compliance with safety requirements.
  • Be adaptable to cover other areas or locations as needed.
  • Engage in continuous personal development and training.
  • Adhere to company policies, especially safety, health, and environmental standards.
