Job summary

The Central Lancashire Community Bladder and Bowel Service is seeking a Pelvic Floor Specialist Physiotherapist to join our team in Preston, UK. You will manage a clinical caseload with holistic assessments, develop and evaluate care for bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction within a multi-disciplinary team, and supervise students where required.

This Band 6 role offers flexible working patterns and the opportunity to contribute to service development across Central Lancashire.

Qualifications

• UK HCPC registration is essential.
• Experience working in an MDT and supervising staff/students.
• Ability to manage a defined caseload with autonomous practice.
• Experience in leading clinical change and service development.

Job summary

The Central Lancashire Community Bladder and Bowel Service is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pelvic floor Specialist Physiotherapist to join our service.

The Bladder & Bowel service is a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, physiotherapists and Health Care assistant and is led by a specialist physiotherapist. The service has a supportive and warm culture where everyone's contribution is valued.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while helping to shape the future development of bladder and bowel services across Central Lancashire.

As a Pelvic Floor Specialist Physiotherapist, you will manage a clinical caseload, undertaking holistic assessments, treatment planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients experiencing bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Main duties of the job

• Provide a high standard of specialist physiotherapy input to the designated therapy team. Hours may be required to be worked over 7 days between 08.00am and 08.00pm, depending on service need.
• To assess and treat patients within a ward or community setting as an autonomous practitioner
• Physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.
• Hold responsibility for own complex caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working without direct supervision.
• The postholder will ensure their own personal development and participate in the development of others
• To supervise, educate and assess the performance of physiotherapy students to ensure the standard of practice and teaching meets the degree standard.
