Biteback is Britain’s leading publisher of political and current affairs titles, with our wider list including history, espionage, sport, memoir and general non-fiction. We’re seeking a dynamic Desk Editor to cover a fixed-term period of leave starting in early August.
Reporting to the Editorial Director, the newest member of our team will be involved in steering books through all stages of the editorial process, from original manuscript to print-ready files, and ensuring our authors receive an attentive, bespoke service.

Familiarity with Adobe InDesign software will be an advantage, as will an interest in sport.
Please note that this is not an entry-level position. This would be a terrific second or third job for either an experienced Assistant Editor ready to take the next step up or an established Editor looking to branch out in a new direction.
Location: London, working three days a week in our Westminster office and two days a week from home (or fully office-based if preferred)
