Job summary

Arup is seeking an Associate/Associate Director for its Birmingham Town Planning team. You will lead development management projects, nurture client relationships, and identify new opportunities to strengthen Arup’s presence in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

The role involves guiding multidisciplinary planning and design teams and delivering high-quality projects across commercial, residential, regeneration, and infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Town Planning and MRTPI membership are essential.
• Experience in development management and working in Birmingham is required.
• Strong bids/tender, client liaison, and financial/budget control experience are expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the development management service in Birmingham.
• Cultivate client relationships and identify project opportunities (bids and delivery).
• Grow Arup's market profile in Birmingham and West Midlands by engaging with clients and opportunities.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary planning and design teams.
