This role is based within a Care Home in Birmingham. The Care Assistant will help with day-to-day routines, including personal care and feeding. Care Assistants support patients in homes, supported living, community houses, or in their own homes. They are vital members of care teams.

If you enjoy caring for people and want to make a positive difference, this could be the role for you. Employers value a friendly, caring attitude, and respect for those needing healthcare support. Previous experience or qualifications are preferred but not essential.

As a Care Assistant / Support Worker / HCA, you will work under supervision of Senior Care Assistants or Staff Nurses. Your duties may include:

• Helping patients with washing, showering, or dressing
• Assisting with feeding
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Engaging and talking with patients
• Helping patients move around
• Assisting with toileting and collecting bedpans
• Maintaining cleanliness of rooms and living areas
• Managing supplies and equipment

Work may involve using mobility aids and equipment to lift and move patients.
