Job description

We have a position at ANZCO Foods Canterbury, Seafield Road Ashburton for a Biotissues Process Technician to work at our MPI and ISO approved laboratory in Ashburton on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a varied and challenging role in an exciting and growing industry. The hourly rate for this position will range from $31 - $32 per hour.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Biotissues Production Manager, this is a hands-on production role responsible for harvesting, handling, and processing bovine materials used in medical implants for human use. You will also prepare chemicals, perform QA testing, and complete hygiene and cleaning processes.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a laboratory, cleanroom, or similar setting (minimum 1 year required)
• Good attention to detail, numeracy, and ability to follow SOPs
• Ability to manage tasks and accurately complete paperwork
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in beef slaughter operations is an advantage
• Understanding of aseptic techniques
