Job summary

Cellular Agriculture Ltd seeks a Research Assistant to support R&D and engineering activities in our Corsham Science Park facility. The role involves cell culture, bioprocess setup, media preparation, data collection, and collaboration across teams to accelerate development of bioreactor platforms for cultivated meat.

The ideal candidate has a Biological sciences degree and is prepared to work weekend days on occasion; we offer a competitive salary of £32,000 and a comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

• Expertise Biological sciences degree.

Responsibilities

• Supporting R&D and Engineering routine activities, e.g. cell culture, bioprocess set-up, analysis and data collection.
• Seed train cell expansion for bioreactor operations.
• Making bulk media batches.
• Perform downstream molecular biology analysis.
• Collaborate across teams and assist in various company activities to accelerate R&D and engineering workplans.
• Act as a key source of knowledge and support for specific equipment.
• Work closely with scientists and engineers to maintain a professional, clean, and safe working environment.
• Support bioreactor experiments by delivering cells, media, bioprocess set-up, data collection and analysis.
• Maintain or modify equipment to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
• Support the running and maintain the labs to a high standard.
