Job summary

Roche invites UK PhD students with a strong focus in statistics or data science to join the Biostatistics team at Welwyn Garden City for a 10-week internship, extendable to 12 weeks.

You will work under seasoned statisticians and data scientists on problems relevant to clinical drug development across oncology, immunology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology, or neuroscience, with exposure to a global network of experts.

Qualifications

• Registered on a UK PhD programme with a significant methodological focus on statistics or data science.
• Experience in biostatistics/epidemiology, statistics or mathematics is desirable.
• Please note you must have passed your initial annual PhD review and not have completed viva voce before application closing date.

Responsibilities

• Work on theoretical or applied biostatistics problems relevant to Roche’s clinical drug development.
• Present findings to the department at the internship conclusion; interact with Roche’s global statisticians and data scientists.
