Circa £55,000 PA (Depending on skills and experience) + Car Allowance

Are you ready to lead a specialist technical team and make a tangible impact on the future of renewable energy and bioresource management?
Due to internal promotion, we’re looking for a new Bioresources Technical Maintenance Manager to drive operational excellence, ensure compliance, as well as lead the strategic & tactical maintenance of key assets across our regional facilities.
As a key player in our team, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of high-risk assets, including Combined Heat and Power (CHP), Steam Raising Plants (SRP), and Gas systems, ensuring their optimal performance while upholding the highest standards of safety and sustainability.
Act as the go-to expert for the operation and maintenance of CHP, SRP, and Gas assets.
Strategically plan and deliver both proactive and reactive maintenance to support our bioresource and water recycling operations.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resource use and meet regulatory standards.
Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring high performance through regular check-ins, coaching, and PDRs.
Cultivate a strong health and safety culture, proactively mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Manage resource planning, recruitment, and training to maintain an industry-leading team.
Oversee the maintenance and strategic planning of critical assets to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency.
Manage shared budgets (approx. £3M) and income streams (approx. £14M), ensuring cost-effective operations and maximizing value.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and future investments, presenting compelling business cases to stakeholders.
Drive performance enhancements through effective KPI monitoring and proactive issue resolution.
Support cross-process learning, skill development, and succession planning to future-proof the team.
Ensure all work meets operational, legal, and quality standards, avoiding disruptions and delivering exceptional outcomes.
Technical Expertise: In renewable energy systems, bioresources, and asset maintenance.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing technical teams.
Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of budget management, cost control, and financial planning.
Health & Safety Knowledge: Expertise in managing high-risk environments with compliance to regulations like DSEAR.
Strategic Mindset: The ability to align operational performance with broader business objectives.
