Do you thrive on empowering others, delivering high performance through trust, and building a culture where safety, innovation, and environmental stewardship come first?

We're looking for a Bioresources & Operational Logistics Director - someone who lives our values, leads with heart and vision, and inspires expert teams to shape a more sustainable future.

This is a pivotal role within our Water Recycling Senior Leadership Team. You'll lead the strategy and safe, effective delivery of our sludge treatment, haulage, and recycling operations across the region. With a team of over 400 talented individuals, you'll foster a culture of care, accountability, and curiosity - driving performance that truly makes a difference to our people, communities, and the environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Inspiring a culture of safety and wellbeing - where people feel empowered, supported, and proud of the work they do
  • Leading the strategic direction and operations of our sludge treatment centres and logistics services
  • Promoting a commercially focused culture across teams and unlocking new opportunities to drive value and efficiency
  • Shaping resilient, efficient, and compliant haulage strategies that support our long-term goals
  • Driving environmental improvements through innovative, circular approaches to water recycling and resource recovery
  • Championing performance improvement - focusing on environmental compliance and delivering on key operational goals
  • Developing strong, forward-thinking engaged leaders who foster trust, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Representing Anglian Water with purpose and professionalism in industry forums, partnerships, and regulatory discussions

What you'll bring:

  • Proven senior leadership experience in a complex operational regulated environment would be preferable (ideally water, waste, or logistics)
  • A track record of inspiring large, diverse teams to perform with care, accountability, and passion with high engagement
  • Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and capital delivery experience
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills to build trusted relationships with stakeholders and regulators
  • Proven knowledge in sludge treatment and haulage operations, along with process safety and operating licence conditions, would be an advantage

Why Join Us?

At Anglian Water, we're driven by doing the right thing - for our people, our customers, and the world around us. We're proud to be a place where people can grow, feel supported, and make a real impact.

As a valued employee, you'll be entitled to:

  • 30 days holiday plus bank holidays (with flexibility for religious holidays)
  • Car Allowance
  • Personal private health care
  • Life cover - 8x annual salary
  • Competitive pension scheme - we double-match your contributions up to 6%
  • Annual bonus scheme and lifestyle benefits
