A leading healthcare provider is looking for a Biomedical Scientist to join their Microbiology Department. The successful candidate will conduct diagnostic laboratory investigations, provide expert advice, and mentor trainees. The Role
NHS Lanarkshire is seeking to recruit a Biomedical Scientist.
The post holder will process a broad range of specialist and routine laboratory diagnostic investigations in Microbiology, utilizing various scientific measurements and technical procedures on patient samples. They will provide advice to clinicians and healthcare staff regarding test appropriateness and time-scales.
The post holder is responsible for their own work, operates complex equipment using specialist training, solves problems, mentors less experienced Biomedical Scientists, and participates in training and supervision of Trainee Biomedical Scientists and Medical Laboratory Assistants.

Permanent, full-time positions (2 posts), 37 hours/week.
Location: University Hospital Wishaw, Microbiology Department.
Working pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On-call.
