Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust in Southampton is seeking a Biomedical Scientist for a fixed-term secondment in the Immunology and Flow Cytometry laboratory. You will work in a modern, accredited lab delivering a wide range of analyses with HCPC registration and CPD, within a supportive team.

The role requires HCPC registration and evidence of CPD, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HCPC approved Biomedical Science degree (BSc) or HCPC approved degree/top ups.
• HCPC registration.
• Evidence of current CPD activities.

Responsibilities

• Process pathological specimens for screening, diagnostic and monitoring purposes.
• Provide accurate analytical data using instruments and manual assays (ELISA, Electrophoresis).
• Deliver a high-quality service meeting patient and service needs.
• Liaise with other healthcare professionals to maximise service effectiveness.
