An established NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dedicated Biomedical Scientist to enhance their Cellular Pathology team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fully accredited Pathology Department, contributing to various areas, including Histopathology and Cytology. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Biomedical Scientist to join our Cellular Pathology team at this busy NHS Foundation Trust. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and flexible.
The appointee will be based within the Histopathology department at King’s Mill Hospital, rotating through sections of routine Histopathology, Non-gynae Cytology, Andrology, and Immunohistochemistry. Occasional travel to Newark Hospital, where we have a satellite laboratory, may be required.
The department has full UKAS accreditation, HCPC/IBMS training status, and actively encourages CPD participation. The laboratory operates on weekdays only, but candidates must be flexible to work 5 out of 7 days if needed. The payment scheme aligns with Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
You will be working within the UKAS 15189:2012 accredited Pathology Department at King’s Mill Hospital. The department is developing collaborative relationships with neighboring Trusts and is committed to continuous improvement to deliver outstanding healthcare.
