Job summary

South West Acute Hospital seeks a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Clinical Biochemistry Department in its Pathology team. The role is temporary for 3 months, with potential extension, delivering high-quality diagnostic testing to support patient care.

You will work Monday to Friday 9am-5pm on a rota basis, with possible evenings and weekends. HCPC registration and at least 1 year of post-graduate experience are required.

Job description

We are seeking a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join our Pathology team within South West Acute Hospital, Clinical Biochemistry Department. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary laboratory service, delivering high-quality diagnostic testing to support patient care across the Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive Trust environment that values professional development, quality, and patient safety. This is a temporary position, initially for 3 months, with the potential for extension.

Hours of work – Monday to Friday 9am-5pm on a rota basis and may include evenings and weekends. The rate of pay is £19.78-£31.65 per hour. Candidates must have at least 1 year’s experience in a similar role and be HCPC registered.
