Seeking a dynamic individual to join our friendly pathology team across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw, based at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals. Work in a modern, UKAS-accredited lab environment and make a difference.
The South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology Network provides integrated services across five regional sites, including Doncaster and Bassetlaw.
We invite applications from enthusiastic individuals to join our Chemistry teams at these sites, with roles involving complex analytical procedures and participation in a 24/7 shift rota.
The post involves acting as an HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist, providing scientific services for clinical diagnosis, performing manual, semi-automated, and automated tests, and validating results according to ISO 15189 standards.
Candidates should have post-registration Chemistry experience, ideally with out-of-hours work experience. A relevant IBMS specialist portfolio or equivalent is required for Band 6, while candidates working towards this portfolio are considered for Band 5.
Please note: Banding depends on experience and skills. The starting band is Band 5 unless the applicant qualifies for Band 6.
