Job summary

Eurofins Uk Clinical Diagnostics is seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Blood Sciences team in Guildford. The role covers Biochemistry and Haematology on modern, automated systems including Alinity, Cobas and Sysmex XN-2000.

You will validate results, contribute to UKAS ISO 15189 accreditation and mentor junior staff. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and teamwork skills in a fast-paced Eurofins laboratory, delivering

Qualifications

HCPC registration and commitment to maintaining professional and regulatory standards.
Proven experience in Blood Sciences with strong Biochemistry and Haematology workflows.
Experience operating and troubleshooting analytical platforms (Abbott Alinity, Roche Cobas, Sysmex).
Solid understanding of laboratory quality management systems and UKAS ISO 15189 governance.

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory analyses using automated and manual techniques to ensure accurate results.
Review, validate and authorise test data per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Support quality systems through QC, CAPA investigations, audits and improvements.
Troubleshoot instrumentation and contribute to method validation and equipment verification.
Maintain compliance and stock management, training and staff development.
