Job description

The successful applicant will be HCPC registered and possess the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Cellular Pathology or have several years of broad experience in current laboratory practice, including specialist histology techniques such as immunohistochemistry and specimen dissection.

Role Responsibilities
  • Participate in delivering a medical laboratory service to ensure efficient and effective patient care and resource management within the Trust.
  • Assist in the day-to-day organisation, workflow maintenance, and carry out responsibilities within designated sections.
  • Contribute to the teaching and development of staff within their section.
  • Maintain high standards and quality at all times.
  • Keep up-to-date with specialist area knowledge and current practices within the diagnostic laboratory.
  • Work at both sites: St George’s, Epsom, and St Helier University Hospitals.
