An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified BMS in the Haematology department within the Department of Paediatric Laboratory Medicine, Great Ormond Street Hospital for
Children NHS Foundation Trust. Your role will be to work within a team in the Haematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion Sections.
The laboratory provides an extensive range of investigations to support the specialist patient population of this tertiary referral paediatric hospital. This includes a wide range of specialist investigations for both haematology and haemostasis, and support for patients with multiple
special requirements in Blood Transfusion.
You will be trained to perform the technical and scientific work in the Haematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion sections within the Laboratory.
You will participate in the departmental out of hours service after training, including a 24/7 shift pattern.
The department is UKAS accredited and is also an IBMS accredited training laboratory.
Applications are invited from candidates who possess a degree in Biomedical Science and are registered with the HCPC.
