Job summary

Taylorollinson is seeking a Scientist - Biomarkers for a temporary agency contract based in Cheshire. The role focuses on designing and delivering metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics projects using mass spectrometry, from sample prep to data analysis.

You will work with MS imaging platforms (REIMS, MALDI, TOF) and collaborate with internal and external clients to interpret and present biomarker data. Candidates should have biological MS experience and be eligible to work long-term in the UK.

Qualifications

• PhD in biological mass spectrometry or related field preferred.
• Experience with LC-MS/LC-MS/MS and biomarker studies.
• Experience handling tissues and cells; mass-spec imaging desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver end-to-end metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics projects using MS.
• Operate MS imaging platforms such as REIMS and TOF analyzers.
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to deliver biomarker data.
• Interpret and present mass spec biomarker data.
• Handle biological samples including tissues and cells.
