Job Description:

The successful candidate will:

1. Have excellent subject knowledge in Biology
2. Have experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment
3. Have a genuine belief in the potential of every child
4. Have high expectations for all pupils
5. Have a flexible can-do attitude
6. Successfully manage classes and deal with challenging behaviour
7. Encourage students to reach their full potential
8. Be patient and have a good sense of humour

Qualifications:

1. Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent, with good standing
2. You hold the right to work and teach in New Zealand (Working Holiday Visa, Accredited Employer Work Visa)
3. Be eligible for QTS
4. Have up-to-date Safeguarding training within the last year (Prospero offers accredited CPD training)
5. Successfully undergo RCMP-certified criminal record checks
6. Provide at least two professional teaching references covering the last two years
