About the Role:
As a Biology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging Biology lessons to Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, covering topics such as cell biology, genetics, ecology, and human physiology. You will develop and adapt resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students, promoting critical thinking, analytical skills, and experimental techniques. You will assess student progress through lab reports, presentations, and written examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback. You will also contribute to departmental meetings, participate in curriculum development, and potentially lead extracurricular science clubs or research projects.
Ideal Candidate:
You should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science with a Biology specialism, demonstrating a strong understanding of biological concepts and experimental techniques. A passion for biology and a desire to inspire young women in science are essential. Excellent laboratory skills, including the ability to set up and conduct experiments, and a strong understanding of scientific methodology are required. You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a commitment to continuous professional development.
