Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Biology Teacher to join a dynamic science department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to share their love of biology, engage students in the wonders of life science, and support outstanding academic achievement. As a Biology Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 if applicable. You’ll play a key role in delivering a rich, practical, and thought-provoking curriculum, encouraging critical thinking and curiosity about the natural world. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Biology Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging biology lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners

• Prepare students for internal assessments and external exams (GCSE and A-Level if applicable)

• Promote practical, hands-on learning experiences through effective use of lab facilities

• Track and support pupil progress, adapting teaching as needed

• Contribute to curriculum planning and department resources

• Encourage a passion for biology through enrichment clubs, competitions or trips

Ideal Biology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in Biology or a closely related subject

• Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching
