Job description

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive science department. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and foster a deep understanding of the biological sciences. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Biology Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is an advantage).

• Inspire students with a curiosity for living systems, human biology, ecology, and cell science.

• Prepare pupils for internal and external assessments, ensuring excellent progress and attainment.

• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of learners at all levels, including those with additional needs.

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

• Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities, and school science initiatives.

• Promote safe practices during practical work in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Ideal Biology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Biology or a related life science subject.

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Biology.

• Experience teaching Biology at secondary level.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Biology Teacher.

• A commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting student achievement.

• A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to contribute to whole-school life.
