Biology Teacher

Full Time ( 8:30-3:30)

Role Overview:As a Biology Teacher you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality biology education. Your role will involve planning and delivering exciting lessons, assessing student progress, providing personalized support, and fostering a love for biology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engaging Lessons:Plan and deliver dynamic biology lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Student Assessment:Design and administer assessments, providing constructive feedback.
• Personalized Support:Offer one-on-one and small group support to students who need extra help.
• Resource Preparation:Create and organize teaching materials and interactive activities.
• Classroom Management:Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaboration:Work with colleagues to enhance the biology curriculum and share best practices.
• Parental Engagement:Communicate with parents about student progress and attend parent-teacher conferences.
• Extracurricular Involvement:Participate in science clubs, competitions, and school events to further student interest in biology.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background:A degree in Biology or a related field.
• Teaching Certification:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) are required.
• Experience:Previous teaching experience is preferred, with a proven track record of effective teaching and student progress.
• Passion for Education:A genuine passion for Biology and a commitment to inspiring and supporting students.
• Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.

Requirements:

• The right to work in the UK.
• Has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
