Biology Teacher - 1 Year

Location: Ofsted-rated Good college in Greater Manchester
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
Contract: Full-time fixed term 1 year (maternity)
Start Date: As soon as possible

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Lecturer in Biology to join a dedicated team at a well-regarded further education college in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will deliver biology and science lessons from level 2 to 5.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across various Biology and Science programmes, integrating Information and Learning Technology (ILT) and e-learning tools to enhance the learning experience.
  2. Provide pastoral support as a tutor, fostering a supportive environment that addresses individual student needs.
  3. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments to contribute to the college's inclusive and innovative educational approach.
  4. Engage in curriculum development to ensure programmes remain current and responsive to industry needs.
Essential:
  1. Degree in Biology or similar
  2. Some form of teaching experience
Desirable:
  1. Teaching experience in further education
  2. Teaching Qualification or willingness to work towards one.
