Job summary

Vyners School in North West London is seeking a Science Technician (Biology) to join our non-teaching team. The role supports the delivery of the biology curriculum by assisting with preparation of experiments and equipment.

Term-time only, 31.25 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year, with 5 INSET days; 8.30am-3.15pm; reports to Senior Science Technician. Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable but not essential.
• Strong organisation and teamwork are important.
• Good understanding of safety requirements when working in a science environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of experiments and equipment for the biology curriculum.
• Support science teachers in class preparation and resource handling.
• Maintain safe and orderly biology laboratories and storage of materials.
