We are seeking a dedicated and confident Biology Cover Supervisor to joina supportive secondary school science department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical classroom experience while applying your subject knowledge in a dynamic school setting. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Biology Cover Supervisor:

• Deliver pre-prepared Biology lessons to students in the absence of the teacher.

• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay engaged and on task.

• Support students in understanding lesson content and scientific concepts.

• Maintain a safe and productive learning environment, particularly in practical science sessions.

• Report back on student progress and behaviour to relevant teaching staff.

• Assist with general cover duties across other subjects when required.

Ideal Biology Cover Supervisor:

• Hold a degree in Biology or a closely related subject (e.g., Biomedical Science, Environmental Science).

• Have strong communication and classroom management skills as a Biology Cover Supervisor.

• Be enthusiastic about working with young people and supporting their academic development.

• Be organised, adaptable, and professional in approach.
