Job summary

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Biology Quality Assurance Lead for a remote, hourly contractor role. You will oversee quality across biology AI training projects, review AI-generated biology content, and provide precise written feedback.

You will ensure adherence to project rubrics, safety, and scientific accuracy while guiding and supporting remote trainers and QAs. The role requires strong biology expertise, excellent English communication, and meticulous documentation, with responsibility for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Biology or a closely related field.
• Strong English communication to guide teams and provide clear feedback.
• 3+ years of biology research, lab work, or related QA workflows.
• Experience leading or supporting remote trainers, annotators, or QAs.

Responsibilities

• Quality monitoring: spot-check items, provide feedback, and escalate issues.
• Scientific review of AI-generated explanations and mechanisms for accuracy.
• Update trainers on guidelines, changes, and quality expectations via Discord.
• Respond to questions with clear biology reasoning and rubric interpretation.
• Activate inactive contributors and track ongoing availability.
• Create and maintain biology project documentation and style guides.
• Onboard and train trainers on workflow expectations and rubrics.
• Ensure consistent application of biology guidelines across projects.
