Job summary

Boltz is seeking a Principal Scientist in Biologics to shape Boltz Lab’s platform by translating deep biological insight into ML design and evaluation. You will work with ML researchers to define biologically meaningful objectives and ensure models reflect real biologics workflows across antibodies, peptides, and other modalities.

You will guide model development and interpretation, connecting outputs to experimental outcomes while influencing roadmap decisions.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in biologics engineering, structural biology, protein science, bioengineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience designing, engineering, or characterizing biologics.
• Deep understanding of biologics discovery and optimization workflows.
• Ability to translate biological problems into clear ML modeling objectives and evaluation criteria.
• Experience interpreting computational model outputs and linking to biological outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Guide model development and platform design to reflect real-world biologics workflows.
• Define objectives and datasets; interpret outputs and failure modes for ML models.
• Influence product decisions and roadmap with strong biological insight.
