Job Description:

Exalto Consulting is currently recruiting for a contract bioinformatician for an outside IR35 role, offering 100% remote work and paying between £300-£360 per day depending on experience.

The successful candidate must have experience with developing and validating novel NGS pipelines using Python/R in a cloud-based environment within a clinical oncology setting.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of applied experience in bioinformatics data analysis
• Experience analyzing Illumina NGS data
• Proficiency with bioinformatics tools and platforms, especially for copy number variation and whole genome sequencing data
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, R, or similar languages for data analysis and scripting
• Experience with cloud computing platforms, preferably Amazon AWS
• Ability to automate data processing and productionize analytical workflows
• Strong analytical skills focusing on accuracy and reproducibility of biomarkers
• Experience processing biomarkers from NGS, such as Small Variants, Copy Number Variants, and Structural Variants

Desirable: Experience with Illumina Dragen platform.
